For g(X)=X3−5X2+11X−12, the reductions are
g=X(X2+X−1)over F3
(1)
and
g=X(X2+X+1)over F2.
(2)
Both quadratic factors are irreducible, so
(3)=(3,β)(3,β2+β−1)
(3)
and
(2)=(2,β)(2,β2+β+1).
