= Quasi-geostrophic streamfunction

The quasi-geostrophic streamfunction defines horizontal velocity by $u=-\psi_y$ and $v=\psi_x$. For a one-layer free-surface model, geostrophic balance gives $\psi=g\eta/f_0$.
