Weak until (αWβ)

 0  0
Temporal operator
In linear temporal logic, αWβ means (αUβ)∨Gα. Thus it permits the left operand to hold forever without the right operand ever becoming true, unlike strong until.

Strong until (αUβ)

 0  0
Temporal operator
In linear temporal logic, αUβ holds at position i exactly when some j≥i satisfies β and every position k with i≤k<j satisfies α. The witness j must exist. The case j=i imposes no condition on α.

Next-time operator (X=◯)

Temporal operator
The linear temporal logic operator Xα, true at position i of a path in a transition system exactly when α is true at position i+1. Thus XXα tests two positions ahead.
