West Churchman (1913-2004) was an influential American philosopher, systems scientist, and management theorist known for his contributions to the fields of operations research, systems theory, and decision-making. He played a significant role in the development of the concept of "systems thinking" and was a pioneer in the application of these ideas in management and organizational theory.
