G-Cloud, short for Government Cloud, is a UK government initiative designed to facilitate the procurement of cloud computing services for public sector organizations. Launched in 2012, G-Cloud aims to make it easier, quicker, and more cost-effective for government entities to acquire cloud-based services and technology. The G-Cloud framework includes a digital marketplace where suppliers can offer their cloud services—such as hosting, software, and storage solutions—directly to government buyers.
