 Katharine Burr Blodgett

Katharine Burr Blodgett (1898–1979) was an American physicist and a pioneering researcher in the field of thin films and surface chemistry. She is perhaps best known for her work on non-reflective (anti-reflective) coatings, which have significant applications in optics and engineering, including in the production of lenses, camera filters, and other optical devices.
