Max Valier (1895–1930) was an Austrian rocket pioneer and a key figure in the early development of rocketry. He was one of the first to advocate for the use of liquid-fueled rockets and was influenced by the works of science fiction writers like Jules Verne and H.G. Wells. Valier was heavily involved in various rocketry projects in Europe, collaborating with other pioneers, including Hermann Oberth.
