Motown cover albums refer to musical albums that consist of cover versions of songs originally recorded and released by artists from the Motown record label. Motown, founded in Detroit in 1959 by Berry Gordy Jr., was home to numerous iconic artists and songs, especially during the 1960s and 1970s.
