Compliance is not only about headcount. MoHRE set June 30, 2026 as the deadline for private companies to raise the salaries of Emirati employees hired before January 1, 2026 to a new mandatory minimum of Dh6,000. The minimum had previously risen in stages, so employers need to review their contracts and payroll to make sure every Emirati employee falls within the current rules.
There are also rewards for doing well. Companies with outstanding Emiratisation results benefit from incentives, including membership in the Emiratisation Partners Club, which offers discounts of up to 80 percent on MoHRE service fees and priority access to government procurement opportunities. For many businesses, strong Emiratisation performance is becoming a commercial advantage as well as a legal duty.
