The F. Woodbridge constant is a mathematical constant related to the study of the geometry of octagons. Specifically, it is defined in the context of finding the area of a regular octagon inscribed in a unit circle. The constant is approximately equal to 2.4142. It often comes up in geometric calculations involving octagons and certain transformations in geometry.
