Philip Morrison (1915–2005) was an American physicist known for his work in several fields, including nuclear physics and science education. He was a prominent figure in the development of the atomic bomb during World War II as part of the Manhattan Project. Later in his career, he became well-known for his efforts in popularizing science, particularly through his participation in the PBS television series "The Mechanical Universe... And Beyond.
