The Voskhod
spacecraft
was part of the Soviet
space
program, primarily used for crewed missions during the 1960s. One of the
key instruments
used for
navigation
during these missions was the "Globus" IMP (Inertial Measurement Platform). The Globus IMP was designed to aid in the
determination
of the
spacecraft
'
s
position
and
velocity
in
space
. The Globus system provided
inertial navigation
capabilities, allowing the
spacecraft
to track its
trajectory
without relying on external
reference
points.
