 1,6-Conjugate addition

A 1,6-Conjugate addition attacks the delta carbon of an extended conjugated electrophile. The resulting extended enolate can be protonated at different sites; proton transfer or equilibration can favor a product retaining carbonyl–alkene conjugation.
