 Electromagnetic shower

A cascade driven primarily by electron and Positron bremsstrahlung and photon pair production in matter. An electromagnetic calorimeter estimates the incident energy from the deposited cascade. Escaping shower particles and incomplete instrument coverage require containment and response corrections.
