Zero-mean random forces vanish in an ensemble average, while independent finite-bandwidth sample averages have variance proportional to the inverse sample count. Merely increasing detector bandwidth does not suppress physical noise; it can expose more fluctuations. Independence, filtering and averaging are separate assumptions.
