 Möbius invariance of the cross-ratio

Every Möbius transformation preserves the cross-ratio. The identity $M(u)-M(v)=(ad-bc)(u-v)/[(cu+d)(cv+d)]$ makes all extra factors cancel in the ratio; limiting conventions handle points at infinity.
