 N-linked glycosylation

N-linked glycosylation attaches a glycan through a nitrogen atom, commonly the side-chain amide nitrogen of asparagine. In the ER pathway, an assembled lipid-linked oligosaccharide is transferred to an appropriate protein acceptor.
