 Projective hyperplane

A projective hyperplane in ${\mathbb{CP}}^n$ is the zero set of a nonzero complex-linear functional on ${\mathbb{C}}^{n+1}$. It is isomorphic to ${\mathbb{CP}}^{n-1}$ and determines a hyperplane divisor.
