 Radiation-to-gas pressure ratio

The radiation-to-gas pressure ratio compares radiation pressure with gas pressure. It is distinct from plasma beta, which compares gas pressure with magnetic pressure. Both are sometimes denoted by $\beta$, so the convention must be stated.
