 Weight vector

A vector $v$ has weight $\mu \in {\mathfrak{t}}^{\ast }$ when $hv=\mu (h)v$ for every $h$ in the Cartan subalgebra.

A Weight is the eigenvalue functional; a weight vector is a nonzero vector carrying it.
