Acyl ligand ($-\mathrm{C}(\mathrm{O})\mathrm{R}$)

A carbon-bound group $-\mathrm{C}(\mathrm{O})\mathrm{R}$, formally anionic and normally a two-electron donor in ionic electron counting. It differs from a neutral carbonyl ligand $\mathrm{CO}$.
