For L=ψˉ(i∂−S+iPγ5)ψ, with real scalar backgrounds S,P, the Dirac equation is (i∂−S+iPγ5)ψ=0 and the adjoint Dirac equation is i(∂μψˉ)γμ+Sψˉ−iPψˉγ5=0. Use {γ5,γμ}=0 and (γ5)2=1 in the derivative of j5μ=ψˉγμγ5ψ to obtain the displayed classical identity. Taking S=m+gϕ and P=GΦ includes both scalar and Hermitian pseudoscalar Yukawa couplings.
