In an orthonormal basis (ε1,ε2), the roots are ±(ε1−ε2), ±(ε1+ε2), ±2ε1, and ±2ε2. Choose simple roots α1=ε1−ε2 and α2=2ε2, with α1 a short root. The fundamental weights are ω1=ε1 and ω2=ε1+ε2.
