If K⊆LG and L=K(α), then the coefficients of f(t,α) generate LG over K. Indeed, for the field E generated by those coefficients, L=E(α) and [L:E]≤∣G∣, while the Artin fixed-field theorem gives [L:LG]=∣G∣.
