If an n by n matrix A over a field has nonzero permanent, b∈Fn, and every Si⊆F has two elements, then some x∈∏iSi makes every coordinate of Ax−b nonzero. Apply the Combinatorial Nullstellensatz to
∏i=1n((Ax)i−bi),
(1)
whose coefficient of x1⋯xn is permA.
