The dual electromagnetic field tensor is obtained by applying the Hodge star operator to the electromagnetic field tensor. For metric signature (+−−−) and ϵ0123=+1, define Fμν=21ϵμνρσFρσ. With F0i=−Ei/c and Fij=−ϵijkBk, it has components F0i=−Bi and Fij=ϵijkEk/c. The homogeneous Maxwell equations become ∂μFμν=0.
