After a bipartite spin rotation, a leading Holstein–Primakoff transformation expansion gives H2=−JΔNS2+JS∑k[2Δnk+cosk(aka−k+ak†a−k†)]. The bosonic Bogoliubov diagonalization gives the displayed spectrum and vacuum energy −JΔNS2+JS∑k[Δ2−cos2k−Δ]. The anisotropy gap is 2JSΔ2−1. At Δ=1 the finite-angle transformation is singular at its zero modes, and quantum depletion of Néel order is infrared divergent in one dimension.
