For pressureless matter and a positive cosmological constant in a spatially flat universe, H2=H02[Ωm0a−3+1−Ωm0]. Substituting y=a3/2 reduces the expanding branch to y˙=(3H0/2)Ωm0+(1−Ωm0)y2. With a(0)=0, integration gives a=[Ωm0/(1−Ωm0)]1/3sinh2/3(3H01−Ωm0t/2). Its matter-dominated early limit is t2/3 and its vacuum-dominated late limit is exponential. Radiation must be restored to describe the actual earliest universe.
