Gamut

The set of stimuli or coordinates realizable by a specified device or system. If primary intensities $\mathbf{p}$ are bounded and nonnegative and cone catches satisfy $\mathbf{Q}=B\mathbf{p}$, invertibility of $B$ does not ensure feasibility: a requested $B^{-1}\mathbf{Q}$ can lie outside the permitted primary ranges.
