Gas-to-stellar mass ratio ($r_g=M_g/M_{\ast }$)

The gas-to-stellar mass ratio compares a galaxy's gas reservoir with its stellar mass. Different observational definitions may include only molecular gas, only atomic gas, or both with a helium correction.
