For f∈Cp(A,A) and g∈Cq(A,A), set (f⌣g)(a1​,…,ap+q​)=f(a1​,…,ap​)g(ap+1​,…,ap+q​). This associative cochain multiplication descends to Hochschild cohomology, where it gives a graded commutative algebra. It is one operation in the Gerstenhaber algebra structure.
