With {γμ,γν}=2ημν, Ω=ωμνγμν/4, and Λ=eω, the Clifford algebra gives [Ω,γρ]=−ωρμγμ. Exponentiation proves the inverse Lorentz action displayed above, equivalently S−1γρS=Λρμγμ. This second order is what combines with ψ↦Sψ and the Dirac adjoint action ψˉ↦ψˉS−1 to make the gamma bilinears transform as ordinary contravariant tensors.
