The dimension assertion asks that every bounded Kakeya set in Rn have full Minkowski dimension. The Kakeya maximal conjecture implies the stronger lower-dimension conclusion: its application to Eδ​ gives ∣Eδ​∣≳n,ε​δnε, hence Nδ​(E)≳n,ε​δ−n+nε for every ε>0.
