Level-set normalization of a surface delta (δS=∣∇g∣δ(g))

If g is smooth and ∇g=0 on S={g=0}, transverse local coordinates give ⟨δ(g),φ⟩=∫Sφ/∣∇g∣dS. Thus δS=∣∇g∣δ(g) as distributions. In particular δS1=2δ(∣x∣2−1). Omitting this Jacobian confuses the delta of a defining function with a geometric surface delta distribution.
