For M=diag(−1,1,1,1),
o(1,3)={Y∈M4​(R):YTM+MY=0}.

Every such matrix has the block form
Y=(0v​vTΩ​),v∈R3,ΩT=−Ω,
(2)
so the Lie algebra and the Lorentz group have dimension six. At A∈O(1,3), the tangent space is Ao(1,3).
