For τ=t∗−t, balance μat/a∼γ/a to obtain radius proportional to τ. Axial lubrication conservation then makes the axial length proportional to τ as well. The displayed variables reduce the lubrication equation for a bubble with viscous exterior to ζAA′−A2=161{A4[(2ζA′+1)/A]′}′. The physical interface slope is λA′, compatible with a slender neck when λ≪1 and the dimensionless profile varies on order-one scales.
