Let p≡11(mod12), K=Q(−p), and let p be a prime-ideal factor of (3). If p>3n+2 and n is odd, then [p] does not have order n. Otherwise pn=(α) would give
4⋅3n=a2+pb2
(1)
for α=(a+b−p)/2. The bound forces b=0, after which 3n=N(α) is an integer square, impossible for odd n.
