Factor the denominator as z2(1+z2). Near zero,
z2(1+z2)1=z−2−1+z2−⋯,
(1)
so zero is a double pole with residue zero. At z=±i the poles are simple and the denominator derivative is 2z+4z3=−2z. Therefore
Res0=0,Resi=2i,Res−i=−2i.
(2)
These are all the poles.
