Define the present critical density and cosmological density parameter by
ρcrit,0=8πG3H02,ΩDE,0=ρcrit,0ρDE,0.
(1)
Spatial flatness with Λ=0 implies ΩM,0=1−ΩDE,0. Separately conserved cosmological fluids and constant-equation-of-state density scaling give ρM=ρM,0a−3 and ρDE=ρDE,0a−3(1+w). Inserting both into the Friedmann equation yields
H(a)2=H02[(1−ΩDE,0)a−3+ΩDE,0a−3(1+w)]=H02[ΩDE,0a−3(a−3w−1)+a−3].
(2)
This is the constant-w case of the Hubble parameter for matter and dynamical dark energy.
