a
For the normalized standard Gaussian density,
∇γ=−vγ,Δγ=(∣v∣2−d)γ,∇⋅(vγ)=(d−∣v∣2)γ.
(1)
The two terms cancel, so the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck Fokker-Planck equation has stationary density for a Fokker-Planck equation
∂tγ=0,Δγ+∇⋅(vγ)=0.
(2)
Equivalently its Fokker-Planck probability current −∇γ−vγ vanishes identically. The normalization follows from the Gaussian integral in each coordinate.
