The only vorticity component is ω=(1/r)(rv)′. Its steady equation is −αrω′=2αω+ν(ω′′+r−1ω′), solved by ω=ω0e−αr2/(2ν). Regularity at zero gives
v(r)=αrω0ν(1−e−αr2/(2ν)).
(1)
Its maximum satisfies es=1+2s, s=αr∗2/(2ν), so r∗=O(ν/α).
