Integration by parts gives g~σ′(k)=−σ2kg~σ(k) and g~σ(0)=1, so g~σ=e−σ2k2/2. The convolution theorem says f∗g=f~g~; multiplying the two Gaussian transforms and inverting yields gσ12+σ22.
