The Taylor expansions sint=t+O(t3) and et=1+t+t2/2+O(t3) give
f(x,y)=−3+6x+3y+21(x+2y)2+O((∣x∣+∣y∣)3).
(1)
Hence the second-order Taylor polynomial is
T2(x,y)=−3+6x+3y+21x2+2xy+2y2.
(2)
The sine contributes no quadratic term at zero.
