The steady planar velocity u=αyex−βxey supports a bounded polytropic patch when α=(β2−3Ω2)/β and 3Ω<β<2Ω. Its polytropic enthalpy is Q=Q0−(2Ω−β)(βx2+αy2)/2 with Q0>0. Its fluid free boundary is the material ellipse βx2+αy2=2Q0/(2Ω−β). No additional self-gravity potential is part of this model.
