For a Bogomolny-Prasad-Sommerfield monopole, the dimensionless radial Bogomolny equations are dK/dρ=−KH and dH/dρ=(1−K2)/ρ2. The displayed profiles solve both equations: differentiating ρ/sinhρ gives K(1/ρ−cothρ)=−KH, while differentiating H gives 1/ρ2−csch2ρ=(1−K2)/ρ2. At the origin K=1−ρ2/6+O(ρ4) and H=ρ/3+O(ρ3), giving a regular core. At infinity K decays exponentially and H=1−1/ρ+O(e−2ρ), giving the vacuum Higgs magnitude and a long-range Abelian magnetic field.
