Between spin-zero pseudoscalars, Lorentz covariance decomposes a vector current matrix element into (p+k)μf+(q2)+(p−k)μf−(q2), with q=p−k. Strong interaction parity symmetry in quantum field theory makes the corresponding axial current matrix element vanish.
