In front of the contact line in the sediment-lubricated viscous mountain model, h=d and dx=3μsU(d−d∞)/(ρgd3). For δ=d/d∞ and ℓ=ρgd∞3/(3μsU), integration gives x/ℓ=P(δ)−P(3), with P(δ)=δ3/3+δ2/2+δ+ln(δ−1). The branch 1<δ≤3 is unique and tends exponentially to the uniform far-field depth.
