 Curie response of an arbitrary independent spin

At fixed positive temperature and weak field, independent spin-$J$ moments have total moment $M=N(g{\mu }_B{)}^{2}J(J+1)B/(3k_{B}T)$. This is the Curie law; the corresponding density divides by the sample volume.
