 Latent-to-sensible heat ratio

The latent-to-sensible heat ratio is the reciprocal of the Stefan number defined by $\mathrm{Ste}=c_p\Delta T/L$. Large $S$ means that phase change uses much more energy than changing temperature by $\Delta T$.
