 Particle-hole symmetry of a Bogoliubov--de Gennes Hamiltonian

Particle-hole symmetry relates $H_{\mathrm{BdG}}(k)$ to $-H_{\mathrm{BdG}}^{\ast }(-k)$. Consequently every energy $E$ at momentum $k$ is paired with energy $-E$ at momentum $-k$.
